Personal Rocks

A new quarter is a fresh opportunity to reset, not just professionally, but also personally.

Most teams begin the quarter by setting their priorities, or “Rocks”: the few important goals that deserve focused attention over the next 90 days.

But why stop there? One of my clients sets a Personal Rock for each person on the team, which creates the same kind of focus and accountability. I have adopted this with my other clients as well.

Last quarter, my Personal Rock was exercising four times a week. This quarter, it’s reading a book I’ve been meaning to get to for months: Visualise by Maya Raichoora.

A Personal Rock doesn’t have to be complicated. It simply needs to be meaningful, specific, and important enough to deserve your attention.
The key is accountability: write it down, define what success looks like, and review your progress regularly. Sharing it with your leadership team adds another layer of connectivity as well as accountability.

As the new quarter begins, what Personal Rock will you commit to over the next 90 days?
